Disney Entertainment Productions is holding an Open Call for Dancers to perform in our Broadway-caliber, theatrical production of Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular. Originally directed by world-renowned, award-winning director Francesca Zambello and choreographed by acclaimed Broadway choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett, this show is performed in the state-of-the-art, indoor, 2000-seat Hyperion Theater at Disney’s California Adventure® park. We are seeking performers with an ethnic look. Contract runs October 2009-August 2010. Rehearsals begin October 5, performances begin November 6.

Performers working a minimum of 4 days/week are eligible for excellent benefits including medical/dental/optical coverage, vacation/sick pay, park admission and various employee discounts.

Roles:
Magic Carpet: (Female, 4’9”-5’3”) Principal/Featured role; strong dancer; Genie’s sidekick, enthusiastic and endearing, physically expressive mimic, joyfully speaks volumes without saying a word, tumbling a plus

Chorus Dancers: (Male, 5’7”+; Female, 5’3”+) Strong technical/musical theater dancers; acting, singing, tumbling and tap a plus; especially seeking well-built male dancers for speaking roles portraying thuggish palace guards

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Dancers may be taught several combinations; bring appropriate shoes, no heels
Bring a current headshot and resume

Entertainers for this show are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA).
