Details: You will learn and be able to perform all the character roles in all of the gunfights we perform. This equals approximately 25 to 30 different characters rolls. It is essential to the smooth functioning of the company that each person knows every part proficiently. This is a great opportunity to build your resume, as you will be able to list all of the gunfights and roles played.

The gunfighter position at Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway is a multi-tasking position. As a small family owned attraction we do not have the luxury, larger corporate attractions have, of hiring actors that only act. It is just not feasible for our setting therefore, our performers multi-task at other jobs during non-performance times. These duties include but are not limited to working in one of our shops cashiering, ticket selling, trolley swamping, waiting tables, bartending (age restricted), restaurant support and giving breaks. While not on the main stage, working these various positions is a great opportunity to increase your character acting by continuing the character you last performed in the show, until the time of the next show.

Customer relations are a huge part of your job. You are expected to entertain and interact with the guests to our park at all times you are on the clock. You are the focal point of so many of our guests and you need to uphold the highest standards of customer service and relations.

Benefits include rustic, dormitory style housing at a small cost plus a damage deposit is required. Other employee incentives are discounted or free admissions to area attractions including whitewater rafting, employee functions and discounted food and merchandise in park. We will contact your school to see if internship and/or class credits can be earned over the season through your employment with our company. You will generally have 1 to 2 days off per week to explore the beautiful State of Colorado. This is a paid position and the hourly pay is $7.28 per hour.

We are looking to fill this position immediately and will continue until at least September 13, 2009.

Contact: This is for employment in Colorado. Do not apply if you cannot travel to Colorado. You must be willing to learn the gunfights and scripts as written and perform them very quickly upon hiring. There are 7 different shows which have
25 - 30 parts you must learn. The shows will allow you the opportunity to test all of your acting skills from serious and bad guy roles to good guy roles to comedy roles. I expect anyone to be ready to come out here and arrive within the next couple of weeks. I am running my ad later just in case but I am ready to fill these roles today! I would like at least 6 months of acting experience preferably in front of a live audience and in a theater setting.
